Good design isn't just usable. It moves the needle. I use research to understand what users actually need, then connect that directly to the outcomes businesses care about.
Turning 30+ admin conversations into scalable self-serve tools.
Connect more users to their ancestors using the expertise of hundreds of experienced volunteers around the world.
I'm a product designer with 3+ years in SaaS, fintech, and nonprofit. I believe the best design decisions aren't just good for users. They're good for the business too, and I'm actively building the skills to make that case clearly.
Research is how I close the gap. I dig deep into what users actually need, then translate that into design decisions with measurable outcomes. It's something I'm still growing in, but it's the lens I bring to every project.
I also work closely with Sales, Customer Experience, and Implementations, not just PMs and engineers. That access means better research and broader buy-in when it matters.

Sam also has a true gift for lateral thinking and ideating quickly. I was repeatedly impressed by her ability to sketch and explore quickly without being critical.
Beyond technical skills, Sam is a team player with excellent communication skills. They are receptive to feedback, proactive in problem-solving, and always eager to share knowledge with peers.
